Preheat oven to broil (if your oven gives you a temperature option, choose 500°).
While the broiler is preheating, slice grapefruits in half and use a paring or other sharp knife to trim away all the rind/pith (all the thick white stringy stuff). Once most the rind/pith is gone, cut fruit into small bite size pieces.
Place grapefruit pieces in 2 medium or 4 small ramekins.
Mix together sugar and spices and sprinkle evenly on top of grapefruit.
Place in oven, about 3 inches under the broiler, and cook for about 5 minutes. Keep an eye for any bubbling over or charring- you want a golden brown, not a burnt grapefruit.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
