Deviled Egg Bar with the Best Basic Deviled Egg Recipe

deviled egg halves
Ingredients
1
dozen
eggs, hard boiled or pre-packagedÂ
1/4
cup
avocado mayo
1
Tbsp
dijon mustard
1
heaping Tbsp
sweet pickle relish
1/4
tsp
paprika + additional for topping
Salt & pepper to taste
Toppings
Crumbled bacon
Sliced black olives
Capers
Dried cranberries
chives
fresh herbs (dill, tarragon, cilantro)
salad shrimp
avocado
sweet red peppers
baby gherkins
dried pineapple with chili powder (my personal favorite and the flavor is unbelievable if you make the eggs with Chipotle Lime Mayo!)
honey roasted nuts
Instructions
Boil eggs according to your method of choice.
Slice each egg in half, remove the yolk and place inside a medium-size bowl. Mash the egg yolks until there are no large chunks left.
Add mayo, dijon mustard, relish and paprika to the mashed egg yolks and mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Using a small spoon, fill each egg half with egg yolk mixture.
Garnish with toppings of your choice or leave ungarnished so guests can choose what they would like!
Notes
Please note that the total time does not include the time it takes to boil the eggs, as this will vary according to which method you use.
